As I’m getting older, I find that I’m struggling a bit more with post-workout recoveries. I’m always on the look-out for products that can provide me with the proper nutrients, and also ease the physical demands of training. The following Mutant Rehab review shows that I have found an ideal all-in-one post-workout formula.
Mutant Rehab is a complete post-workout product. It contains a large range of amino acids (EAA, glutamine, etc), including a 2:1:1 of BCAA. Creapure creatine monohydrate, Krealkalyn, buffered creatine, and creatine MagnaPower combine to form the creatine blend. The joint reconstruction blend includes glucosamine sulfate, vitamin C, calcium carbonate, calcium citrate, magnesium glycerophosphate, bromelain, piperine, cayenne, and tumeric. An electrolyte muscle re-fill, cortisol blocker, and fuel tank replenishment blend complete the list of ingredients designed to rebuild your muscles and promote joint health. Each serving contains 290 calories, 54 g carbohydrates, 0 g sugar, and 18 g protein.
Mixability – 9/10
Mutant Rehab mixed up pretty well in cold water. It won’t fully dissolving due to the high level of carbohydrates.
Taste – 8/10
The freaky fruit punch flavour of Mutant Rehab is above average but not fantastic.
Effectiveness – 9/10
I am very pleased with how I feel when using Mutant Rehab as my post-workout product. It has a good amount of fast-acting carbohydrates that don’t leave me feeling overly full or bloated, and there is NO sugar! The BCAA and amino blends help me recover quickly and support muscle growth so that I’m feeling stronger and ready to go the next time I hit the gym. My favourite part of Mutant Rehab is the unique joint reconstruction matrix. When taking Mutant Rehab I no longer have to supplement with glucosamine or MSM, and my joints are less sore.
Overall – 8.9/10
Rather than taking 2-3 different products to recover after some intense training, I can take only Mutant Rehab to give me complete post-workout muscle and joint therapy. For my liking, the protein content is a little low (18 g per serving). If you would like more protein, you can easily combine Mutant Rehab with a fruit flavoured protein. This is a minor downside compared to all the benefits gained from taking this product. I do hope they offer more flavours moving forward.
