Gaspari Nutrition has recently reformulated their MyoFusion protein, creating a 6 stage blend with added probiotics. Designed to be used pre or post workout, or as a snack in between meals, MyoFusion Probiotic will help you build muscle, gain strength, facilitate maximum recovery, and support your immune and digestive health. Here is my Gaspari Nutrition MyoFusion Probiotic review.
Ingredient Profile – 8/10
Gaspari MyoFusion Probiotic boasts a 6 stage protein blend, including whey protein concentrate, brown rice protein concentrate, whey protein isolate, egg albumin, milk protein isolate, and partially hydrolyzed whey protein.
Ganeden BC30 probiotic is a patent protected probiotic included to help support digestive and immune health. This durable probiotic is strong enough to survive manufacturing, doesn’t require refrigeration, is shelf-stable, and survives stomach acid so that beneficial bacteria are delivered to your digestive system.
Taurine and L-glutamine are major players in the ingredient list. Gaspari MyoFusion Probiotic also contains over 9 grams of essential amino acids per serving, including over 4.4 g of BCAA.
MyoFusion Probiotic is gluten free, aspartame free, and has no artificial colours.
Mixability – 9/10
Directions for use: Add 1 scoop (39 g) per 6-8 oz of water, nonfat milk or your favourite beverage. Shake, stir or blend (with ice).
I found that MyoFusion Probiotic mixed fairly well using any of the suggested methods. It didn’t take long to be completely dissolved, and there wasn’t too much foam created in the process.
Taste – 9/10
Gaspari MyoFusion Probiotic is available in 7 flavours: milk chocolate, delicious vanilla, strawberries and cream, cookies and cream, chocolate peanut butter, banana perfection, and cinnamon roll. I haven’t tried all of them…yet…but I really like the ones I’ve had. With all the flavours to choose from, there is a tasty one for you! I also really enjoy the creamy consistency of this protein, even when mixed just with water.
Effectiveness – 8/10
I felt really good while taking MyoFusion Probiotic. I’m not lactose intolerant, but definitely sensitive, and MyoFusion Probiotic didn’t bother my stomach or result in bloating as I’ve experienced with other concentrate protein blends. Gaspari MyoFusion Probiotic protein helped me gain a few pounds of lean muscle, helped reduce soreness and recovery time, and also improved my energy.
Overall – 8.5/10
Gaspari MyoFusion Probiotic protein gets a big thumbs up for the addition of Ganedan BC30 probiotic to aid in digestion and support overall immune and digestive health. Although I’m not anti-carb, the carbohydrate content (9 g per serving) is a little higher than I like for my main protein powder. I like the inclusion of taurine for proper muscle function and for increased nutrient delivery, and L-glutamine to help replenish the most abundant amino acid found in our muscles, required to build and maintain skeletal muscle protein. I will continue to have at least one flavour of MyoFusion Probiotic in my protein cupboard. I recommend you try the cinnamon roll added to some oatmeal for breakfast! YUM!
