Craze is crazy. And by crazy, I mean awesome! If you have yet to try this pre-workout from Driven Sports, go get it. Seriously. It will take your training to a whole new level. Beyond the limits you thought you had. Craze provides the ultimate combination – endless energy, great muscle pumps, elevated mood, intense focus, and a huge confidence boost. Here is my Driven Sports Craze review.
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) helps support nitric oxide output, lower post-workout muscle soreness and enhance recovery.
Craze’s Kinesis Proprietary Blend:
Creatine monohydrate is known as a performance enhancer that safely increases muscle size and strength. It helps make leucine more available for protein synthesis and muscle building.
Trimethylglycine (TMG) helps to improve training performance, lower fatigue, volumize muscles and increase power.
Citrulline increases nitric oxide resulting in more pump.
Dendrobex is a proprietary dendrobium extract that provides energy and helps strengthen the immune system. It is rich in phenylethylamine (PEA) which has been shown to increase motor co-ordination of muscles and elevate mood.
Caffeine is a well-known stimulant that enhances performance and the mind-muscle connection. Stimulation results in decreased and delayed fatigue, improved strength and peak power, improved perceived mood, enhanced cognition and alertness, and increased motor control.
Citramine is an extract of Citrus reticulata (tangerine) that promotes the flow of natural energy, and helps support and prolong the stimulatory effects of caffeine.
Driven Sports Craze mixes comparably to other pre-workouts. A little gritty at the bottom but no big deal. I followed the directions and used 8 oz of cold water for every scoop of Craze.
Suggested use: Take 1-2 scoops with 8-16 oz of cold water 30-45 minutes prior to training. Start by taking 1 scoop to assess tolerance and increase the dosage slowly if desired. Never exceed 2 scoops in a 24 hour period. Do not consume within 6 hours of sleep.
I tried the Candy Grape and it was pretty good. Candy Grape and Berry Lemonade are constant flavours in the Craze family. Driven Sports also offers seasonal flavours. I’ve seen blackberry tea and pineapple passion fruit, but get them while you can because they don’t seem to stick around for too long (probably because Craze is awesome!).
The first few times I took Craze I used 1 scoop, not only to assess my tolerance but also because I didn’t need any more than that. I only took 1.5-2 scoops on days when I was really dragging but still needed to get to the gym and get in a crazy intense workout. One really wicked thing about Craze is that I could go back and forth between 1 and 2 scoops depending on what I needed that day, or how I was feeling, and the results were amazing every time. As with other pre-workouts, there was never a need to increase the dosage because it wasn’t as effective anymore. Training on Craze was always intense. It elevated my mood, and gave me clean focused energy and crazy strength. The energy lasted for hours too, and with great muscle pump and focus I felt like I could just keep working out forever. Nothing I’ve had before makes you feel like Craze does. It got me through some of my toughest workouts, and helped me reach new PRs.
I don’t take a pre-workout because it tastes good, so if you just consider ingredients and effectiveness Driven Sports Craze is a very solid 10! Designed to enhance your workouts and help you progress in your performance, Craze is formulated using ingredients with a purpose, and no fillers. I like that Driven Sports has created a couple of flavours that will be staples, and have also offered rotating seasonal options. Sometimes flavours can get old so the variety is great. If all of this awesomeness wasn’t enough, the value you get from Craze is amazing. The Candy Grape and Berry Lemonade flavours give you 45 servings per container! For just over a buck a serving, you can’t beat the results. Craze will not disappoint!
