Cellucor C4 Extreme Review

I finished taking the C4 Extreme – the whole thing. I started with 1 scoop and after a week or so increased to 2 scoops before workout. When you take any supplement, make sure you assess your tolerance with this product. I would tell this to everyone because everyone feels differently and there is simply no such thing as the universal rule that governs how much everyone has to consume. That said, here is my Cellucor C4 Extreme review.

Ingredient Profile

Synephrine is a potent adrenergic stimulator that augments energy levels and ATP synthesis. Synephrine, although milder, is structurally similar to Ephedra. The compound enhances adrenaline stimulation and promotes weight loss by amplifying fat burning, metabolism, and thermogenesis. It provides stable energy ands a mild boost in energy without increasing heart rate or blood pressure. 1,3-Dimethylamylamine is similar in structure to ephedrine and other amphetamines, and just like those compounds it increases the release of epinephrine (a.k.a., adrenaline), which is the body’s most powerful mental stimulant and fat burning hormone. N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine supports HGH release, and contributes to higher energy levels, awareness, and mental alertness. Mucuna Pruriens is known as the velvet bean, containing a naturally occurring amino acid compound that aids the increase of metabolism and amplifies energy levels and triggers an adrenaline response from the body during exercise. Beta Alanine, Caffeine, Vitamin C and others.

Mixability

It dissolved pretty well and fast – no problem, nothing dramatic here. Make sure you shake enough though, it’s a powder form after all and you can’t expect everything to dissolve automatically. You’d get some grit at the bottom if you don’t shake enough, but from my experience it’s typical of pre-workout supplements.

Taste

I tried 2 flavors – Orange and Fruit Punch. The Fruit Punch flavor was surprisingly good. As good as it gets. Orange was very refreshing, and it was neither bitter nor sweet. No bitter end taste I experienced with jack3d. I would recommend the Orange flavor if you want to try something new. A lot of guys I know are trying the Orange and they all speak favorably of the flavor. I give it a 10/10 since no other pre-workouts before this made me happy when I ventured out from Fruit Punch. I always ended up regretting it. I’m very picky when it comes to taste and I don’t intend to give a 10/10 unless I firmly believe this is the best.

Effectiveness

Pump: The creatine nitrate and Arginine AKG increase a pump, and I found myself  lifting more weight for more reps and more sets.

Energy

This is where C4 shines. C4 provides a very effective and powerful energy boost. The C4 effect started within 15 minutes of taking it. And it provided a nice and steady flow of energy throughout my workout. Not as extreme as jack3d, but when I take jack3d I always notice an increase in my heart rate and I find myself breathing heavily. That’s not good. Jack3d gives you more energy but it’s not steady – meaning that you may often experience ups and downs throughout your workout. With C4, I didn’t experience any of it. Clean and constant energy with no crash, and that’s what I like most about C4.  It doesn’t have 1, 3-di in the ingredient profile but synephrine provides enough energy in constancy.

Conclusion

C4 is one of if not the best preworkout supplement based on its effectiveness. Cellucor C4 provides energy that is clean, constant, and long-lasting and that’s what sets this product apart from the rest. Get the Orange flavor if you are tired of Fruit Punch. Don’t expect crazy pump, but C4 is going to be your pre-gym companion if you are looking to get a great boost and sustained energy throughout your workout.
